Sauna HeatersElectric heaters types are commonly found although there is still a healthy market for the most traditional of all heaters - the wood burning sauna stove. Generally speaking the sauna heater will require 1KW for every cubic metre of sauna cabin. Should the sauna wall not be insulated to recommended levels then the sauna heater capacity will need to be increased - typically by at least 25%
Whether wall or floor mounted, for domestic or commercial usage there is a wide selection of quality sauna heaters available including 'hidden' sauna heaters. Generally available in power output from 2.2~24KW there is a heater to suit all saunas. For domestic models the controls are typically integrated into the sauna heater whilst a separate controller will be required for commercial installations.
The heater is the heart of your sauna, careful selection will ensure a long and useful lifespan. Contact us to discuss your detailed requirements.
Note: If using brick walls add 3m3 for every m2 of brick or single glazed glass over 2m2. In uninsulated log cabins increase volume by 25%. If in doubt always select the larger capacity model. Remember that any wood burning sauna stove will require a chimney and additional thermal protection around the heater within the sauna cabin. Contact us to discuss your detailed requirements. |
